One LORD - 24 Time Zones - Countless Worshipers! 

The Global Day of Worship (GDW) is a call for a unified, global worship movement to see the name of Jesus Christ lifted up throughout the earth. It will be a day that will unify many denominations within the body of Christ while embracing and celebrating the differences in our expressions of love for Jesus Christ. Through a unified, celebration and adoration of the name of Jesus, the world will see that we are His disciples.

Join us on November 11, 2011 - from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in each time zone - for a wave of worship and adoration that will span the globe and unite all believers as one body. Utilizing 24 time zones, we will agree with and join the 24 elders, spoken of in Revelation 4, who are already worshiping Jesus around the throne. It is when the worship of heaven meets the worship of earth that spiritual climates of nations will shift as we serve faithfully here and now in preparation for His return.

What the Global Day of Worship Is 

On this day, we will not to focus on asking, or petitioning the Lord. We will simply gaze upon His beauty, thank Him for His love, and declare His attributes and goodness in our lives, families, communities and nations.

We can worship Jesus through reflective expressions of love or loud, joyful celebration. We can sing hymns and choruses or engage in free- flowing passionate worship. We were all created to love Jesus, and this event will allow us to uniquely express our love to Him in unity around the globe.

On our website, we will stream live venues in each time zone ranging from small house gatherings of families to larger events.

Join us in this global celebration and adoration of Jesus!

Lessons from Paul & Timothy's Mentor Relationship

“You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance,persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them.

In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God^[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work….”

2^nd Timothy 3: 10-17

I believe God is raising up forerunners in this generation. He is doing a marvelous thing which includes the youth in his great plan. Many are accepting the call of the great harvest and are seen in the enthusiasm, passion to serve the church and eagerness to learn more from His word.

He is raising up people like Joshua, David and Stephen in this technological age. They are making impact in every part of society and the world at large. God is using you and me to bring change in a world where everything seems to be in an uncertain situation.

As youth leaders, we play an important role to fill-in of this great move. Our generation needs to be trained, equipped and mentored in the right way to become able in doing "great exploits" for our King.

With these in mind, how then can we impart, train and develop these young ones to become effective influencers in our society today? What is our model in doing so and how should we see the outcome of all our efforts?

One great example is shown in the last few pages of the scriptures through the letters of Paul to Timothy, a young man in Ephesus. As many of us would know, Timothy took on the role as pastor in one of the biggest churches in biblical times. He was a young disciple of Paul and perhaps, as the scripture says, a “spiritual son” of Paul.

Their relationship is one of our great examples for today. Paul and his mother and grandmother were able to mentor him in the ways of the Lord. Paul specifically taught him how to minister, teach and lead the body of Christ at an early age.

If you read the 2 letters of Timothy, Paul was actually giving instructions on church organizations, teaching, ministerial gifts and sustaining church growth amidst future challenges (like false teachers and prophecies).

He was telling Timothy that because he is already old, he must now rely on Timothy and how he can train others, who will be equipped with the ministry as well.

The Epistles shows Paul’s character when it comes to mentoring:

1. Paul was able to give clear and sound instructions about ministry and Timothy’s calling
2. Paul had the experience, authority and influence over the subjects he discussed
3. Paul was also able to target (identify) the right audience in the person of Timothy, leaving him a legacy that the modern church is patterned hereof
4. Paul believed that Timothy can do it and he can share it to others

Also, the Epistles also shares about Timothy in what Paul was doing;

1. Timothy was trained in the godly way as a child
2. Timothy received in his heart the prophecies and teachings given to him by godly men
3. Timothy was ready to take the challenge
4. Timothy was mentored by Paul and took part in the ministry since the start of Paul’s apostolic ministry
5. Timothy never abandoned his calling

Paul and Timothy are considered the perfect example of mentorship. It went beyond weekly bible studies and all, it became stronger through the years and the very foundation of Paul’s ministry was also seen in the life and ministry of Timothy in Ephesus.

Conclusion:

With our goal to develop the right strategy and program for youth programs, it’s my prayer that we do it with the mindset of Paul and the positivity of Timothy.

God is doing something great, he always is. Our challenge is taking part of that work and making sure that we listen and accept these things that we may be able to share it to others and give God the glory.

My Maker Got the Pen of My Life

My full name is Genelizette Deticio Palomar. My love ones and friends call me Lizette or in it's shorter form, Liz and I will be glad if you’re going to call me in my nickname. Before I start this life testimony, I would like to thank Jesus Christ, my God, our Messiah, and my forever idol for finding me once again. Please forgive me for this long writing. I am writer and a poet as well but I really do not know how I could shorten this. I was once a doubter and a stubborn who always seek for the truth and who always look for facts and vivid explanation. Thank you Lord for you never leave me nor forsake me. Thank you for being patient with me and thank you choosing me to be your daughter. Thank you is not enough to give you adoration and to praise you, Abba.

As a kid, I grew up apart from my Dad for he used to be an Overseas Filipino Worker in Libya until I was eight. Both of my parents are professionals for they are both Civil Engineers. Since my mom works as a government employee and my dad is far away from us, I and my siblings grew up with a nanny and with our grand mother. As a toddler, I was always left with our house maid. Although at the age of four I was introduced into Christianity, I do not really understand who God is and all I know is that I go to church every Sunday and I attend the Sunday school. My mom became a Christian when she was in high school that was why she always told bible stories to me and to my siblings. She even looked up for bible passages and let me memorized it. She is the one who introduced me to Jesus Christ.

As I grew up, I became interested to God and I always get excited whenever we go to bible studies and prayer meetings. My passion for God sparked and I became hungry for Him. When I was five, I became interested to the stories of my mom about the missionaries and their zeal to follow Christ and I even got interested at the stories in bible studies that involved them. From then on I always asked my mom who Jesus is and I started to read bible story books for kids. It was a good start, isn’t it? A girl who became interested to God at a very young age, a girl who promised to be a missionary when she grew up, and a girl who wants to strive hard to follow Christ. I wish to tell you that I become consistent with that passion, but I did not.

I was seven when our little brother was born and I was eight when my dad resigned at his work in Libya. My dad was forced to resign at his work in an oil company in Libya due to some health problems. With my dad losing his work, financial crisis struck our family. When dad lost his work, we encountered a lot of problems. Sibling rivalry is rampant among me and my younger sister. My mom was the sole bread winner during that time and my dad encountered a lot of frustrations for he cannot support us with our needs. Actually, I became resentful with my dad for I did not grow up with him. I felt like I was not given the chance to get to know him. It was like my dad is a stranger to me.  


When these things happened to me and to my family, my heart was filled with hate and doubt. I questioned God and I even concluded that God does not really love me that was why He let me experience these hardships. I really can’t remember how I was able to cope up. Thanks are to God for He let me feel that He loves me so much and my dad loves me too and he just need to be separated from us just to give us a better life. When I realized this, I started to build my personal relationship to God and I was engaged into ministry at the age of eleven. My faith was strengthened when my cousin was diagnosed with Osteo Sarcoma, cancer of the bones. I developed my prayer life and I always talk to God whenever I have the opportunity. Although Kuya Oyeng died at the age of fourteen, his greatest gift to me is his strong faith in God. In my own eyes, I saw how he fought his sickness and how his faith was never shaken until his last breath came. I was thirteen back then.

 When I entered the teenage years, I was driven with passion to serve God and I became a goal-oriented person. From being a scholar in a private school, I decided to transfer in the sole Science high school in the city of Marikina to help my parents and also to enhance my skills and to improve my knowledge. This is where my world turned up side down. Because I graduated with honors and was considered as one of the brightest students from my former school, I became over confident and I thought that I am superior. Because the competition was tough and I really wanted to be in the distinction list, I devoted most of my time in studying and I sacrificed my daily devotions and my prayer time. My spiritual life was fluctuating. Being an achiever, I was devastated when I was not able to maintain my honor status in my academics, and my world shattered into pieces. It was like my heart was stab with a dagger. It really affected me to my core. This is where my spiritual life began to be shaken. I was being lukewarm and the worst part was I questioned myself if I am a real Christian and if I am actually saved. I was so ashamed of myself and I wished I were another person.

I became a real Christian when I was fifteen. It was during our retreat camp last May, 2009. I really remember how I fully surrendered my life to Jesus. A pastor was delivering a message and while he was delivering it, I can not help but to cry. It was as if I was the one who is being talked to. The pastor shared the story of  how he was saved. “Nakita na kita pero umalis ka at ngayong nakita na kitang muli hinding hindi na kita pakakawalan pa.” That was the words that struck my heart. When the pastor asked us to come and pray, I was the first one to come and I can not tell why I was sobbing. I kept on saying the words “I miss you Oh Lord.. I miss you so much and thank you for finding me…” While I was praying, I felt I was reacting violently like I was a tiger and I felt that I scratched the floor really hard and I’m making ggrrrrrr sound like I want to scratch someone. My eyes were closed that is why I was not aware what was happening around me. I felt like two people hold my hands and I was joining them in their prayers. I really pray hard and I rebuked Satan in my body. I kept on shouting and making the grrr sound yet I’m also shouting my prayers. I can not control my body. After I was prayed upon by the pastors, I blew as if something in my stomach was removed. I did not know that I was being delivered from the strong hold of Satan in my life. After I was delivered, I still closed my eyes and pray. God changed my life and I never question my salvation from then on. Five days after our retreat, I was water baptized and I started to restore my relationship to God.

Currently, I am an officer of our youth group and I’m also engaged in the Tambourine Ministry. I am a writer in a Christian Radio Station and driven by the Do Hard Things Mindset. Do Hard Things is a book written by Alex and Brett Harris. It is a book inspired by the verse 1Timothy 4:12. I am also a poet and a blogger who writes about the greatness of our God and His unconditional love for us. I do not know what lies ahead for me and what will happen for my future. One thing is for sure: I entrust my unknown future to my known God and my God has greater plans for me, plans to prosper me not to harm me, plans to give ma hope and a future. Jesus Christ is the author and the finisher of my life and in Him my hope is found.

Unconditional Love, Acceptance and Hope

It’s the long weekend and as usual, I’m at home in Tanjay for the long haul. To be honest, I didn’t want to go home. I was not ready to whatever is happening in the house and be the bearer of a heavy news to my family. As much as I want to stay in Bacolod and lurk there, I’d rather go home and embrace the reality of life and move on.

The Other Half Knows, The Other Half doesn’t

The family on my mother’s side already knows about Ate’s situation. They too couldn’t understand what happened but has accepted the fact that it’s there and we have to embrace it. They also know the guys name and as usual, doesn’t care whoever he is.

I guess, when it comes to my Ate’s story, we don’t care about the guys in her life. We wanted to scold her but the love and support always comes out. Maybe the years have made us realize that in everything that has happened, it’s always is fair to love and accept her and continue to pray and support her and the kids.

I just told my Papa this morning about ate’s situation and he was dismayed. He even asked why this was happening and if he did something that made this unbearable for him. I hugged him and told him that he didn’t do anything bad and that this is the time wherein we have to show love and acceptance to whatever has happened.

I know, it’s hard for him to accept it immediately but my prayer is that this will make our family closer and in the right time, use this opportunity to bless our family.

Telling The Kids on why Mommy’s Tummy is getting bigger

Last night was hard, I have to tell Lance and Ashley why their mommy’s tummy is big and that she’s not always full or “busog”. Their eyes grew big with excitement that they’ll have another sibling. They were talking nonchalant on how they will take care of the baby and all those stuff that was supposed to be for Christmas will now be for the baby’s needs.

Whew, in my mind, how I wish that it’s easy to accept it like these kids.  I know sooner or later they will ask who is the father and maybe thought that they have the same father and among other things. Those are hard questions and I pray my sister will be ready to answer it and that my niece and nephew will forgive her of what she has done.

My Personal Prayer for My Ate’s Family

It is my prayer that they grow to accept the baby with their whole heart and love him or her completely, unbiased and unconditionally. Not only for Lance and Ashley but for the innocent child inside my ate’s womb, be healthy and will come out full of hope and love.

I also prayed for my ate, six months of secrecy and hiding has taken it’s toil emotionally. But at least, she has now opened up and is no longer indifferent. I know, one way or another God is doing something in her and she will change for the better.

The kid inside her is a blessing and it will bring hope and love to everyone around her including me.

Salt,Light and Cycles!

When I first joined the Young Adults Fellowship in my new church, I have to say that I honestly enjoyed being in the “fellowship” scenes again after almost a year.  The sharing was definitely timely and fruitful.

Part of our discussion was about being “salt” and “light” of this broken world. Personally, it brought impact to me because it rebukes me of so many things. Yet, I’m also thankful that being salt and light is a calling for all Christians and although it is sometimes hard to accomplish, God is faithful to continue doing this through us.

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot…”

-   Matthew 5:13

Here are a few things I realized during our discussion:

1. Being a Christian is having the saltiness in me; saltiness speaks of my testimony
2. Salt loses saltiness, testimonies can also lose credibility
3. When credibility is lost, it can never be returned wholly
4. My lifestyle is my testimony, my life should impact others
5. Since my life impacts others, I should remain the “saltiness”
6. And with saltiness, should remain unblemished

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do peoplelight a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven…”

-       Matthew 5:14-16

Let’s also take note about being the “light” the bible describes:

1. Light kills darkness
2. Light speaks of truth, darkness speaks of lies
3. Light is to be shared, “truth” should be shared
4. When light comes, people notice
5. When people notice, people listens
6. When people listens, their hearts are open
7. When hearts are open, they are blessed
8. When they are blessed, it means they are thankful
9. When they are thankful, they glorify God
10. When they glorify God, they impact others

And we go back to the cycle of being “salt” of this earth.

National Youth Prophetic Conference 2011

Moving under the season of Jubilee, great things are now happening in the Philippines especially among the young people.

On October 31 – November 2, 2011, we will be holding another huge gathering of young people at the Cuneta Astrodome entitled “The National Youth Prophetic Conference”. This time, there is an age limit requirement of 15-29 years old, born between November 3, 1981 and October 30, 1996 accompanied by their senior pastors and/or youth pastors. It is with great honor and privilege to have Bro. Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj, Bro. Vincent Selvakumar, Ptr. Alwin Thomas and Ptr. Joe Sweet as our main speakers! These young people need to be trained to raise them up as a nation of Davids who will exercise righteousness and justice in our land. Indeed, God is doing new things among our young people. They are God’s secret end-time weapon who will arise and shine in these last days!

After the annual 22nd National Prayer Gathering last April hosted by the Intercessors for the Philippines (IFP) attended by some 12,000 pastors and intercessors, specific prophetic words for the youths were released that led us to gather the young people in a huge youth conference which we called, "End Time Harvesters' Bootcamp" held in the same Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City, Metro Manila. Amazingly, more than 12,000 young people filled the Astrodome to the rafters! Using the "First Principles" teaching of Pastor Neville taken from Hebrews 6, we baptized in water some 3,200 youths - perhaps the biggest single water baptism in the country's evangelical history and more than 7,000 young people were baptized in the Holy Spirit and fire. More than 500 pastors assisted in all these three baptisms! It took four solid hours to baptize all of them. It was an amazing sight. All the major youth ministries in the country came together and submitted themselves to the leadership of the IFP for that event.

There is a great stirring of revival in the campuses as those who received the baptisms and impartation of the prophetic anointing from the first boot camp are reaching out to their fellow students in the different schools of Metro Manila and many cities of the country.

Let us prepare our hearts now for the new things that we will receive in the upcoming National Youth Prophetic Conference!

Travel Arrangement and Accommodation

Delegates are responsible for their own travel fare and arrangements to and from their place of origin.

Cuneta Astrodome is approximately 15 to 30 minutes away by cab or private car from Ninoy Aquino or Centennial International airport and the pier of Manila without traffic. Climate and Clothing

At the time of gathering, the weather is generally cool. Since the Convention Center is air-conditioned, it is advisable to bring a light jacket or scarf or shawl. It is also advisable that you bring an umbrella as the conference dates are well within the rainy season.


Food
~~~~
Each delegate may bring his/ her packed dinner and/ or sandwich and water bottle inside the arena. However, large food/water containers are strictly prohibited.
Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the arena. Throw your litter in the designated trash bins.


Registration Mechanics
=================

Being deemed strategic to fulfill the mandate to raise up the end-time prophetic youth harvesters, NYPC will be strictly for youth delegates aged 15-29 years old, born between November 3, 1981 and October 30, 1996 only. They shall be joined by their senior pastors and/ or youth pastors to ensure a powerful and sustainable move of God in this jubilee season of our land. Accompanying guardians or parents especially from the Visayas and Mindanao are allowed to accompany the minor delegates until the entrance of the venue only. Their respective senior pastors will act as their guardians during the event.

Mechanics:

A. For Youth Delegates and Senior Pastors and Youth Pastors

1. Register to identified NYPC registration sites only. Fill out all information (Coordinator’s Copy, IFP Copy, and Delegate’s Copy). Registration ticket prices are:

i. P500 for Court (yellow)
ii. P300 for Ringside and Lower Box (Blue)
iii. P200 for Bleachers (White)

2. Pay ticket only at identified NYPC registration sites through the IFP-NYPC Coordinators.

3. After payment, present claim stub to IFP-NYPC Coordinator to get button pin IDs. For provincial delegates, button pin IDs may be claimed at the venue.

4. A separate registration form for the pastors will be provided (pink) to facilitate identification of pastors from the youth delegates.

5. This is on a "first come, first served" basis. Upon entry inside the venue, reservation of seats will not be allowed.

God’s abundant grace to fulfill the task of raising up a “nation of Davids” is empowered by the prayers and intercessions taking place at the 24-Hour Houses of Prayers spread across the land. He desires that the whole Filipino people will be a nation of Davids who will have a heart for God, His Kingdom, and His righteousness. Our challenge today is to raise up a generation who would seize the destiny of our nation. We are in a ten-year Jubilee period which gives our nation a new beginning and a fresh start from the effects of past sins and transgressions.

And our young people today play a key role in accomplishing this God-ordained destiny.
