I have been trying to understand what the role of the prophetic voice in the course of history. The bible speaks of many opportunities when God used His prophet to bring an important message to a person or a nation itself.
God is still using people to speak forth His word today through prophecies. It brings alignment and distinction to the voices of this world.

Every time I share encouragement and prophecies from the Lord, I always ask the Lord to clear my mind. To take out any misleading words that I may speak and bring clarity instead of confusion.
I am fully aware that I am accountable to any words to be released in a persons life. Accuracy, like any person with a prophetic gift, should be his or her main goal. Speaking in the light of the situation and of what God is doing requires much grace, wisdom and discernment. No matter who the person we are talking to, we must bear in mind that we will give account to what we have said.

But what if we speak to a group of people? or a nation? or the Whole body of Christ?
With what has been going on in the world of politics and society, I often ask this question in mind, what is the role of the prophetic in creating change not just in the spiritual aspect of life but in a holistic sense of life itself?
Prophets lines up the internet declaring God's word and saying these and that of what God is and will do in the light of the situation. I just hope and pray, that may their mind be aligned and their spiritual eyes be opened wide to the accountability of their words and actions.
Of course, I am not here to judge them. But to someone from a new generation, my prayers that the old generation be responsible enough to train, motivate and correct people who misuses this precious gifts.
As a prophetic people, we must stand against the enemies' tactics and reveal the true hearts of the situation. It is God's given mandate for us to speak in the spiritual realms and voice out the truth in love and mercy.
I for one believe in interceding and declaring God's Word. I have seen changes in situations wherein God moves miraculously. But we must also keep in mind that as believers, we have been assigned to become light bearers and voices to this world. Our voice offers a distinct sound of hope to a dying world.
When we declare God's word, there is change in the atmosphere first in the spiritual realm as we break down the walls of indifference and the enemies schemes and in the natural world for real and lasting change.

But whether we are in the United States or Philippines or anywhere else in the world, I believe we should  be aligned to what God is saying and what God wants us to do in this world. Not the other way around.
Let us not be like Balaam that when making friends of the Kings in this world decided to give it a try cursing the People of God.
As God is raising a company of Elijah's and Daniels, may God's people be more keen in understanding the times, motivated to train well and be more aligned to speak the word in truth, accuracy and with love.
